How to fix Xiaomi Bootloop - The best solution for fixing Xiaomi which is Bootloop, Hardbrick, and Softbrick is ROM Flashing via fastboot mode and here's how to do it right. I'm sure many of you have been confused and panicked when faced with problems like this. Bootloop is a mistake that you can not successfully boot your smartphone and get stuck in the Mi or Android logo. Bootloop errors usually occur when a user does not properly flash ROM to his phone during MIUI update. For example when you want to update MIUI ROM via TWRP or Mi Recovery. But there are many other factors besides the ones I mentioned can cause Android bootloop errors.

This time I will share a little trick for you on how to deal with bootloop, hardbrick, and softbrick errors on Xiaomi devices including most popular redmi 2, redmi Note 2, redmi Note 4G (dual SIM), Mi 4, and Mi 4i. Please keep in mind that the guides you read here are not limited to the Xiaomi devices I mentioned before but can be applied to any (mostly) Xiaomi devices because of the simple basics: bootloop, hardbrick, and softbrick errors can be fixed by flashing ROM via fastboot mode and using Fastboot MIUI ROM.

Note: Some recent devices must have an unlocked bootloader before it can perform Fastboot ROM.

Step 1 - Grab the Mi PC Suite tool then install it on your Windows-based computer (PC / laptop).

Step 2 - Grab the Mi tool then install it on your computer. I have included a tutorial on how to install right on the same page where you are downloading.

Step 3 - Grab the Fastboot ROM package according to your Mi device model, make sure you reach the correct package for your phone. If you need a download link then I suggest looking at mbah

- Do not forget to check if the ROM file suffix ".tgz" and if it is ".gz", please rename it to ".tgz"
- The file size is large enough so you better use your favorite download manager.

Step 4 - Now you need to take MIUI Fastboot ROM package to download .tgz file using WinRAR. Make sure you extract the contents to the root drive of your computer and not extract it in the folder. That's to make sure the files inside the content can be easily accessed later. For example, extract it to drive D: \ or drive E: \ (drive C: \ is for Windows system, so you better not extract).

Once extracted, you'll get a folder named like this (eg Global version):

Or this for the Chinese version:

Step 5 - Launch up MiFlash.exe to open the Flash Mi tool you downloaded earlier in step 2. The file is usually located at:

C:\Program Files\Xiaomi\MiPhone

Or if the x64 is located at:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Xiaomi \ MiPhone

Right click on it and select Run as Administrator.

Step 6 - Click Browse button and locate the location where you have extracted the Fastboot MIUI ROM file, select the image folder then press the OK button.

Step 7 - Now click on the small arrow next to the Browse button then click Advanced.

Step 8 - A dialog box will open. Now you must click Browse button in Fastboot Script. Browse to your location extracted MIUI ROM file Fastboot again and select the following flash_all.bat file by clicking OK button. For your information, this script will erase all your phone files including all your data and will perform a clean install. Also, no and never change other settings, just leave it that way.

Step 9 - Next, you need to connect your Xiaomi / phone to your computer. But first, you have to make it enter fastboot mode. Achieving is easy, just take your phone and press Volume down key (-) button and Power button together at the same time. Hold down till restart your phone and enter your fastboot mode. You did that successfully if you ever saw the Fastboot logo on your phone screen.

Step 10 - Now connect your phone which is in Fastboot mode to computer using USB cable.

Step 11 - Return to the MiFlash tool you setup earlier. Click the Refresh button and the tool will detect your phone.

Step 12 - Once the MiFlash tool can detect your phone, click the Flash button to start flashing the MIbo ROM Fastboot file to your phone.

Make sure you see a message saying "Operation successfully completed. (0x00000000;)" after done:

Step 13 - Ok so now you are already using MIUI ROM and now the phone will restart. At this point you can disconnect the phone from the computer and wait till your phone restarts and restart completely. Just keep in mind that the initial boot process may take a long time so do not panic and just wait until it is fully booted.

Goodluck! Your phone is now enabled and booted into the newly installed MIUI ROM. Installing MIUI via Fastboot is deleting all your mobile data so it will become like a brand new mobile phone. Therefore you should setup your phone from the base, just think of it as a new phone.

Congratulations and enjoy using the phone with brand new MIUI system.
