Sedetik.net - With upgraded Kaby-Lake upgrade. The Nexoc G734IV laptop is a powerful and smooth 17.3-inch gaming notebook running all current games on a Full-HD matte display. Enhanced users can install additional hardware on the device.
Nexoc G734IV is a successor designed to be identical to the G734III. The only difference between the two models can be found inside: G734IV has Kaby Lake processor on its motherboard; The G734III has a Skylake CPU. Our review reveals whether the new processor has an edge. Its rivals are devices like the MSI GT72VR 7RE, the HP Omen 17, the v6 Gigabyte P57X, and the Acer Predator 17.
Since G734IV and G734III are identical in its construction, we will not go into detail about cese, ports, input devices, and speakers. Related information can be found at Nexoc G734III full review.

The G734IV has bright, high contrast IPS displays with stable viewing angles and native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. This is the same panel built into Nexoc G734III. However, the measured values are somewhat different, but this is normal, since two identical structural panels never fit one hundred percent.
With the G734IV, Nexoc delivers a 17.3-inch gaming notebook based on the P670HS-G Barebone made by the Clevo company. Devices can be configured individually on this Nexoc website. Our review unit can cost around Rp34.000.000. There are also versions that have been configured available in Nexoc stores, the currently most affordable sports model priced at around Rp2,400,000.
While Intel Core i7-6700HQ (Skylake) processor used in Nexoc G734III, G734IV is supported by its successor: Core i7-7700HQ (Kaby Lake). This is a quad-core processor that works at a base frequency of 2.8 GHz. The clock speed can be raised to 3.4 GHz (four cores), 3.6 GHz (two cores), or 3.8 GHz (one core) with Turbo, resulting in a 200 to 300 MHz clock speed higher than its predecessor, which Leads to better results in our CPU tests. There is almost no architectural difference between Skylake and Kaby Lake. The Turbo CPU is maxed out, so the CPU handles single-threaded applications in 3.4-3.8 GHz, multi-threaded 3.4 GHz applications.
A powerful, fast-paced processor NVMe SSD provides a very fast system. Our subjective impression was confirmed by the excellent results in the PCMark benchmark. Although the Nexoc G734IV all the gaming notebooks can also be used in other areas of the application, such as photo editing or video editing. Overall performance can not be improved.
A blazingly fast Samsung PCIe / NVMe SSD serves as a disk system. This is a model M.2 (2280) with a total capacity of 512 GB. SSD transfer speed is very good. The G734IV has an M.2 slot. If you want to occupy both, you should use a SATA SSD, which can then form a RAID-0 or RAID-1 array. The interior of an additional notebook offers space for two 2.5-inch hard drives. One of them is already on the motherboard has a capacity of 2 TB and operates on 5400 RPM.
As far as the GPU is concerned, the G734IV and G734III are equipped: Both computers come with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics core. The GPU supports DirectX 12 and reach speeds of up to 1886 MHz. However, this value can only be maintained for a while. During our tests, the GPU's average speed was around 1700 MHz. Core supported by 8.192 MB of GDDR5 RAM. 3DMark benchmark results are at normal levels for this graphics core.
In the control center of the Nexoc notebook, you can choose between two modes: "MSHybrid" and "separate". The first means that the built-in switchable graphics solution (Optimus) is enabled. The second option activates G-Sync. Furthermore, only dedicated graphics core operates. We do all the tests with Optimus.
All titles in our database can be played on Nexoc G734IV, even in Full HD and with high resolution for maximum quality settings. The built-in hardware processing power is also more than enough for 4K resolution, but you have to connect the right monitor to it.
System noise level
Automatic fan controls are enabled during our tests. Nexoc had to adjust it, as one of the three fans was always running in standby mode, resulting in permanent noise. Occasionally, the cooling system does not need to work at full power. If you want to reduce the noise, you have to take care of itself: The control fan can be manipulated in the notebook control center. However, the laptop always sounds clearly under load. During the test we measured the sound pressure level of 56 dB; In everyday gaming situations, noise levels between 46 and 50 dB.
G734IV processor works at 2.8 GHz, sometimes that slows down to 700 MHz. GPU clock speed is around 1400 MHz. In battery operation, the CPU mainly works at 1.7 GHz, while the graphics core fluctuates between 600 and 1443 MHz. Notebooks do not warm up significantly during testing; Only one point of measurement reaches the temperature considerably increases. The development of heat is not so extreme in everyday use, because our test is an extreme scenario that does not occur in everyday use.
We measure the maximum power consumption of 22 watts in standby mode. The G734IV is thus slightly simpler than its predecessor Skylake. The results differ under load: the power requirements of the Nexoc laptops rise to 224 watts during the test, slowly pushing the 230-watt power supply to its limits. Consumption of notebooks varies between 74 and 92 watts (on average: 86 watts) while playing the game.
In the WLAN test, where we simulate the loading workload of web pages with scripts, the "balanced" profile is active, the energy-saving function is disabled, and screen brightness is lowered to around 150 cd / m², the Nexoc G734IV reaches runtime from 03:25 h (its predecessor : 2:57 h). The notebook finished testing our video after 03:15 h (its predecessor: 03:28 h). Here we let the short film Big Buck Bunny (H.264 codec, 1920x1080 pixels) run in a loop. The wireless module as well as the energy-saving function is disabled, and the screen brightness is set to around 150 cd / m². In terms of runtime, the G734IV and G734III are in intense competition: Each achieves a better result than the other in two cases. Both computers have the same 60 Wh battery.
